Benefits

Guts & Glory is a good way to give your dog a variety of organs and glands and skip out on the mess.

Every organ comes with its own benefits to your dog:

Bovine Liver

Bovine liver is an exceptionally nutrient-dense food, providing a rich source of vitamins A, D, E, K, B12, folic acid, and minerals such as iron, copper, and zinc, which are crucial for various bodily functions including immune support, energy metabolism, and red blood cell production. The liver’s abundance of essential amino acids and antioxidants also supports overall health by promoting detoxification processes, enhancing skin health, and contributing to the maintenance of muscle mass.

Bovine Heart

Bovine heart is a rich source of Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10), amino acids, and the B-complex vitamins, including B12, all of which are essential for cardiovascular health and energy production within cells. The high CoQ10 content in heart supports the heart’s function and overall energy levels, while its amino acids are crucial for building and maintaining muscle tissue, including the heart muscle itself. Consuming bovine heart can also contribute to stamina, endurance, and recovery from physical exertion, making it a valuable addition to a nutrient-dense diet.

Bovine Kidney

Bovine kidney is a rich source of naturally occurring nutrients, including selenium, vitamin B12, and proteins, which are essential for supporting detoxification processes in the body and promoting overall kidney health. These nutrients aid in the antioxidant defense system, help in the maintenance of healthy red blood cells, and support energy metabolism. Additionally, consuming bovine kidney may provide specific peptides and enzymes that are beneficial for enhancing the function of the canine kidneys and supporting the body’s natural waste filtration system.

Bovine Pancreas

Bovine pancreas is rich in digestive enzymes, including protease, amylase, and lipase, which aid in the breakdown and absorption of nutrients from food, supporting digestive health. These enzymes can be particularly beneficial for dogs with pancreatic insufficiency or digestive disorders, and dogs eating a processed diet that’s lacking enzymes. Additionally, eating bovine pancreas may support the pancreas’s own health and function, potentially aiding in the regulation of blood sugar levels and enhancing overall metabolic processes.

Bovine Spleen

Bovine spleen is valued for their its content of essential nutrients, including iron, peptides, and various proteins, which play a crucial role in supporting immune health. Spleen can contribute to the maintenance of healthy red blood cells, supporting oxygen transport and energy levels. Additionally, bovine spleen tissue from bovines is believed to provide specific factors that may help in the health and function of the canine spleen.

F A Q

Will this replace the organs I would be adding to my dog’s diet?

Guts & Glory is a convenient way to add organs to your dog’s diet. If it is a struggle to source and feed your dog a variety of organs, Guts & Glory can meet your organ needs.

Are these human-grade ingredients?

Guts & Glory is intended for canine-use only. Every ingredient comes from 100% grass-fed organs and is third party tested for glyphosate and heavy metals.

Should I refrigerate Guts & Glory?

If you have room in your fridge, it’s a good idea to put Guts & Glory inside. G&G has naturally occurring fats inside that would do better in a cool place. But if the product is used and finished within 30 days, you can keep it out.

Which are the best organ meats to give to dogs?

The liver, kidney and heart are a natural staple in a carnivores diet. Finding these organs may not always be that easy (and some people rather not touch them!).

Guts & Glory is a hearty helping of heart, liver, kidney, spleen, and more. It’s a great organ support for your dog, without the struggle of finding fresh organs.

How much organ does my dog need?

According to the Prey-model guidelines, it’s recommended that organ meat be form about 10% of your dog’s diet. Liver to be 10%, and heart to be about 5% of the diet.

Not all proteins are equal but these organs are important to get into your dog’s routine.

Some proteins are more dense in vitamins and minerals than others.

The organ that delivers the most vitamins and minerals, pound for pound, is liver.

Does my dog really need organ meats?

Yes. 10% of your dog’s diet should be made up of organ meats. (According to the prey-model guidelines.)

Organs are rich in:

Vitamins A, C, D, E, K, B-vitamins,
Folate
Copper, iron, manganese, iodine, phosphorus, zinc
Amino acids

Do you feed this product with raw food?

Guts & Glory is a great addition to a raw diet. It contains many nutrients that some may miss when feeding raw.

Can I sprinkle this over my dog’s dry kibble?

Yes, Guts and Glory can be sprinkled directly on your dog’s food.

Can I give Guts and Glory to my cat?

There are no advisories on cats using this products. However, it has only been tested for canine-use.

What does bovine sourced mean?

100% sourced from grass-fed cows means we don’t use cheap pork products in Guts & Glory.

I cook for my dog, and strive to ensure that her diet is nutritionally complete. She has an auto immune disease that is negatively affected by one or more ingredients in even the best dog foods on the market. Best educated guess is the vitamin pack ingredients, so I try to give her nutritionally dense foods. For years I had given her a good glandular product, but In comparing it, I found that Guts and Glory contains much more of each nutrient than the product I had been using. My dog loves the taste of Guts and Glory, and I love knowing that I am giving her such good nutrition! We have used this product for several months and I usually give it to her twice daily. It’s a great source of vitamins and minerals, and in the form that’s most bioavailable for the body. With much gratitude to Mooshiepets for carrying Four Leaf Rover products; THANK YOU!
